While it isn’t yet commonly known, it is no secret that candles can cause some serious health issues because of the toxic chemicals used to create them.

If you haven’t looked through how candles can be toxic to your and your family’s health, please head over to my Before You Buy Another Candle… Are Candles Safe? post!

The secret is out! Most candles contain chemicals that are harmful to our health. People with respiratory sensitivities know all too well the havoc they can wreak on our lungs… but its more than just breathing irritation. Yes, flameless candles are nice to look at, but they don’t fill the room with wonderful aromas (and the ones that do are filled with toxic fragrance chemicals). And there are expensive beeswax alternatives… but those often have toxic fragrance chemicals added too.

Ditching candles and their toxic ingredients doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all those awesome fall scents!

Instead of reaching for that lighter and candle, all you need to do is “fire up” that essential oil diffuser!

Essential oils provide a wide variety of aromas to choose from, each bringing with it its own set of therapeutic benefits that help support our bodies rather than burden them. Maximize your health WHILE making your spaces smell amazing??? Sign me up!! Click To Tweet

Here are some of our FAVORITE DIY fall diffuser essential oil blends:

I wish I could share with you which one is my favorite in this list… but honestly… I couldn’t choose if I had to.

A great-smelling space doesn’t always require DIY!

I get it… as a busy mom with a lot going on… often DIY looks like fun, but requires too much brain power. Its much easier to have a blend already made, especially during those drowsy cross-eyed moments following a sleepless night. My favorite pre-made essential oil blends for fall are these from Young Living:

  • Light The Fire
  • Thieves (especially with a drop or two of Orange – reminds me of Pumpkin Pie)
  • Abundance
  • Christmas Spirit

We love Young Living because they are dedicated to creating quality oils that are true essential oils (not just fake stuff using clever marketing). They have their dedicated Seed to Seal process, where they test quality at every phase of farming, distilling, and bottling.
