I have to laugh at the thought that we really do have an oil for everything. Essential oils and emotions go together like smoothies and dark chocolate. They complement each other nicely, as essential oils are able to influence and balance emotions. Personal development also plays an important part of keeping your emotions, self esteem, and confidence all in balance. But how can essential oils effect your personal development journey?
There are actually a few essential oils that pair perfectly with your personal development time.
Helichrysum and Frankincense essential oils are also both fantastic either together or individually to help overcome those emotional blocks that prevent you from moving forward on your personal development journey.
Pre-made Essential Oil Blends for Personal Development
Because we don’t all have time to scout out single oils and create our own blends (or sometimes just don’t want to), below are some excellent pre-made blends for you too.
Abundance essential oil blend
Abundance was designed to enhance magnetic energy that magnifies the law of attraction through the magnetic field around you. Abundance essential oil blend is made of orange, frankincense, patchouli, clove, ginger, myrrh, cinnamon, spruce essential oils.
This oil blend enhances your thoughts by stimulating your cells to put out a frequency that attracts prosperity and abundance. I know that sounds all “woo,” but wearing this oil every day shows how important what you think and what you focus on can be when actively working to change your circumstances and when diving into personal development.
I challenge you to try it out. Wear or diffuse some abundance essential oil blend every day for a month and see how your world changes.
Transformation essential oil blend
Transformation is mentally stimulating and energizing. Its a blend of lemon, peppermint, clary sage, sandalwood, blue spruce, Sacred Frankincense (boswellia sacra), and cardamom. This blend of oils is fantastic for helping support you emotionally as you make changes needed when pursuing a personal development journey.
Personal development and self esteem go hand in hand. Personal development is key to boosting your self esteem to a healthy and sustainable level. With that, you have to be willing to overcome obstacles and negative self talk that come with having low self esteem.
Essential Oil Blends to Maximize Self Esteem

It is best used when applied topically and diluted across your chest, over your heart, on your forehead, on your neck, sternum, temples, and writs. You can also diffuse it or put a few drops onto some leather jewelry/accessories, or into a diffuser necklace or bracelet. It also makes a great aftershave, cologne, and perfume.
Believe essential oil blend
Believe is calming and stabilizing to the senses while stimulating to the mind, helping you realize your limitless potential to create and improve in an atmosphere of peace and awareness. This blend is also lovely diluted and applied to your forehead, temples, and over your heart. You can also wear this as a perfume or cologne (or in diffusing jewelry).
Forgiveness essential oil blend
Forgiveness helps you move past emotional blocks, enabling you to forgive yourself and others for past transgressions. This oil blend is made of melissa, geranium, frankincense, rosewood, sandalwood, angelica, lavender, lemon, jasmine, roman chamomile, bergamot, ylang ylang, palmarosa, helichrysum, and rose essential oils in a base of sesame oil.
This oil combination brings you to a higher spiritual awareness that enables you to move past your emotional blocks so you can forgive, let go, and move on.
Because this oil blend is pre-diluted, you don’t necessarily need to dilute it further, though you can (I always do). It helps best when massaged clockwise over your navel, over the heart, and also behind your ears and on your wrists. Forgiveness is also a great blend to use as a perfume or cologne.
Forgiveness is especially important when it comes to your self esteem and personal development because so many of our emotional blocks are because we need to forgive ourselves. Forgive yourself. Stop the negative self-talk and forgive yourself. Use the oil to push through the rough spots and move forward. When you forgive yourself and move forward with your personal development journey, impressive things start to happen in your life. You notice more confidence, you learn to love yourself again, opportunities arise. You are important and you deserve to forgive yourself.
Joy essential oil blend
Joy is one of those blends that should be in every home. Smelling Joy brings back memories of being loved, being held, sharing good memories with loved ones, and an overall feeling of loving yourself. Its a floral blend of bergamot, ylang ylang, geranium, rosewood, lemon, mandarin, jasmine, roman chamomile, palmarosa, and rose essential oils.
This blend is fantastic if you’re grieving. When you grieve, your adenoids and adrenal glands shut down. Joy reopens those glands and breaks down emotional barriers preventing you from moving forward. People with emotional blockages to love may not like the smell of Joy, but that doesn’t always mean you won’t ever like it. I didn’t like it at first, but a few months later I started craving it. You can use the Harmony essential oil blend to help align your emotional blocks too so you’ll be more accepting of this oil.
I love adding an extra drop of lemon when diffusing and wearing in a diffuser necklace because it provides a bit different of an aromatic experience while still helping break down emotional blocks and help you feel genuinely happy.
SARA essential oil blend
SARA helps your mind relax and release negative emotions and the memory of traumatic experiences. This is especially helpful if you’ve experienced emotional trauma, either from yourself or from others.

Transformation essential oil blend may help stimulate your mind and strengthen your resolve while dealing with difficult decisions, especially when it comes to making an attitude change, such as how you talk to yourself and building up your self esteem. You can also apply this oil diluted to the middle of your forehead (3rd eye chakra) and over your heart, which helps unite your heart and mind.
Valor essential oil blend
Valor is an incredible oil to help make you feel confident and empowered. It helps you overcome fear and opposition, standing tall during moments of adversity. It helps you build courage, confidence, and self esteem. It calms you down, helping you relax and feel peacefully at ease.

Placing Valor on your feet, heart, throat chakra, and wrists.
White Angelica essential oil blend
White Angelica helps create a frequency field that wards off the bombardment of negative energy. This is especially important when you’re emotionally cleansing. White Angelica is a blend of bergamot, geranium, myrrh, sandalwood, rosewood, ylang ylang, spruce, hyssop, melissa, and rose essential oils in a base of almond oil.
With strengthening your aura (your body’s personal energy field), you feel a sense of strength, protection, and a greater sense of self-awareness and potential. Its best applied on the crown of your head, on your shoulders, chest, neck, and wrists, on your forehead, and on the back of your neck. This oil is photosensitive, which means you should avoid direct sunlight to where you apply it for 3-6 hours because sun exposure can cause your skin to burn or develop a sensitive sunburn-like rash.
Any and all of these essential oil blends can help improve how you feel and your personal development process. I personally use all of them at different times during my journey healing my self esteem and growing. If you’re looking to use several all at once, I suggest rubbing some Valor on your feet, cheeks, and face; Joy on your ears and chest (emphasize over your heart); White Angelica brushed over your shoulders; and Forgiveness clockwise over your navel. Then bask in the feeling of being completely invincible and power through some serious growth!
