DIY Calming Lavender Bedtime Linen Spray

Sharing is caring!

I love having a relaxing scent in my bedroom so I sometimes dilute and rub lavender essential oil behind my ears before bed to elicit its relaxation benefits. Then, I thought that it might work really well as a linen spray on my sheets, and use fewer oils per spray than using a couple of drops each night. Thus, our DIY Lavender Bedtime Linen Spray became a thing for not only me but also for my kids.

Making your own lavender bedtime linen spray helps to ensure you know exactly what is in it. Too many times candles, linen sprays, and plugins contain harmful chemicals that have no business being on or around your body.

** PLEASE NOTE ** Don’t be fooled by clever marketing. Not all essential oils are created equally. Make sure you’re not wasting your money on fake or altered essential oils (even if they’re labeled as “pure essential oil”). How To Use Your Homemade Lavender Spray

You can use this recipe as a linen mist for any fabric in your room.

  • Spritz over your pillow to use as a lavender pillow spray
  • Mist on your pajamas
  • Spray it over your sheets
  • Spray it on your curtains or rug to fill the room with a soft lavender aroma

Variations of the Lavender Bedtime Linen Spray

Instead of just using 20 drops of lavender, try using 5-10 drops each of lavender, black spruce, and tangerine or bergamot oils.

Peace and Calming essential oil blend is a great lavender alternative for something a bit sweeter.

My kids love using their Anti-Monster Linen Spray on nights they feel afraid or are having trouble sleeping. It’s nice to use in our room too.

If you want quick results without needing to pick up a new spray bottle, and want to use something on hand, you can always use an essential oil diffuser with relaxing essential oils.
