Young Living Membership Guide

There are a few requirements for becoming a Young Living member. Below I have a video outlining the process, and also written instructions with screen shots, so you can choose which tutorial method works best for you.

If you are switching from a retail account to a wholesale account from a retail account, the steps are the exact same, or you can call Customer Service and ask them to upgrade your account to a wholesale account.

General Requirements to Becoming a Member:

  • Must be 18 years old to become member. With a parent’s consent, people as young as 16 years old may also enroll. Contact for more information and the required forms.
  • Wholesale members must purchase a starter kit.
  • Must sign Member agreement within 30 days
  • SSN is not required at the time of enrollment.
  • IF you choose to participate in the business opportunity, you will need to submit your SSN for tax purposes. Young Living will withhold 28% of your commissions until you do submit your SSN.
  • Wholesale members are eligible to enroll in Essential Rewards (ER) during enrollment

Enrollment Process

You have a few options with HOW you enroll… you may:

  • Call or live chat with customer service
  • Enroll online through the Young Living Website.
  • Mailed in Member Agreement

STEP 1: Where You Are & Who Referred You

Select your wholesale or retail preference, select your preferred country and language. Then fill out your sponsor’s ID number in the sponsor and enroller blocks. If you don’t have one, this link will automatically insert one of ours for you (1856290), or you’re welcome to browse our Leadership page to work with one of our leaders… then submit the page by clicking on “continue.”

STEP 2: Your Information

Step 3: Choosing Your Starter Kit

To be a wholesale customer, you must choose a starter kit. There are several options, and all will allow you to gain the 24% discount on future orders.
Select which starter kit you prefer.

Personally, I feel the Premium Starter Kit with the oils is the best bang for your buck. I do have a list of recommended products for various price ranges if you want more than just one of the starter kits. If you’re interested in receiving that list, please email me and I’ll send it over to you.

The premium starter kit featuring essential oils comes with your choice of diffuser, a few sample packets, and 12 essential oils and blends: lavender, lemon, peppermint, frankincense, DiGize, PanAway, Raven, Citrus Fresh, Peace and Calming, Thieves, Valor, and Stress Away.

When you’re done selecting your enrollment kit, you will be invited to join Essential Rewards. Essential Rewards (ER) is our autoship program, and is 100% optional. Through the ER program, we are rewarded for making monthly purchases by accumulating points based on 10+ of our purchases and receiving free promotional items depending on how much we spend (you can see more about our monthly promotions on our Current Promotions page). Young Living also sends us additional bonus oils at our 4th, 6th, 10th, and 13th months of consecutive Essential Rewards ordering. You may change your order contents and date of month at any time.

Members are not allowed to purchase starter kits through essential rewards, however members may purchase their Premium Starter Kit and enroll in ER at the same time… AND receive an additional 10 ER points for their starter kit purchase. This is the only time that happens. 

You may decide to skip, or decide to snag an Essential Rewards Kit (discounted products only available on ER orders). You may also choose other products to place on your essential rewards order outside of what is in the kits… ER kits are totally optional, as is ER.

STEP 4: Shipping & Billing

Here you will be promoted to choose your shipping method, and input your billing information.

I highly recommend AGAINST selecting the “SmartPost” option. While it is often the cheapest, it is FedEx’s option where they provide your box to the USPS within 3-5 business days… then the USPS has another 30 days to deliver it to you. The last time I used SmartPost, I had a tracking nightmare and spent over a month fretting over how to find my package (over Christmas of all times). The tracking showed it going back and forth between 3 different states!

STEP 5: Confirming Your Order

At this point, you’ll see your information on the screen so you can verify what you’ve put in.

When you scroll down, you’ll see your order, your total expense, your shipping charges, and the tax added for you to review.

If everything looks good, hit the “Activate and Checkout” button to submit your order.

Congratulations! You’re now a Young Living Member!

If you signed up through one of our leaders or using the links on this page, you’re officially a member of our growing team.
