Tips for Sourcing Quality Ingredients
Quality is everything when it comes to honoring your physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.
We love to buy local and grow our own herbs and spices, when possible. This way we know the conditions our herbs are grown, and can better ensure there aren't any potentially harmful chemicals used in the process. We even grow them using an indoor hydroponic system during long stretches of time when my family lives full time in our RV. When you start growing your own herbs, you quickly realize the love and care you provide to the plants are returned to you in healthier plants that taste better.
For essential oils used in our recipes, we highly recommend sticking with Young Living's Vitality Essential Oils. Young Living is a world leader in the essential oil industry with over 25 years experience in farming and distilling high quality essential oils. They've done the research and gone through all the trials and errors to know exactly when to harvest their plants and how long to distill them. They take organic to the next level, refusing to use any potentially harmful chemical (even ones approved by organic certifying organizations).
