10 Best Essential Oils to Support Your Throat Chakra

Sharing is caring!

Each chakra is an energy center that, just like any other area of your body, needs attention and support to maintain feeling balanced and fully functional. In this case, the throat chakra is designed to help you through your verbal expression in speaking your highest truth. There are 10 essential oils that best serve and support your throat chakra.

The throat chakra energy center is your source for communication, self expression, and feeling the truth.

The throat chakra listens just as well as it speaks. A balanced throat chakra allows you to communicate in an authentic, clear manner. When the throat chakra is not in balance, it may cause people talk too much, speak out of context, and have a domineering voice. If unbalanced it may also cause your voice to feel small, with great difficulty to convey messages clearly, or makes listening effectively difficult.

The throat chakra is located in your neck, including your throat, thyroid, parathyroid, jaw, mouth, and tongue.

The color associated with the throat chakra is Blue.

One of my favorite ways to help keep our chakras in balance is using essential oils. Why? Chakras are essentially energy centers in your body, and essential oils carry specific energetic frequencies. When you look at your body on an energetic level, these frequencies tune in with each other to achieve an energetic balance.

Symptoms Your Throat Chakra Is Out Of Balance

When our energy centers are out of alignment, it shows up as physical manifestations. This is your body's way to communicate with you that something is off. Some of the physical symptoms that you may experience with an unbalanced throat chakra include:

How to use essential oils for opening your throat chakra

To use essential oils for your throat chakra, you may diffuse or dilute and apply your oils topically to your skin. I recommend applying over your neck, on the base of your thumbs, around the front of your ears, and on the bases of your big toes.

I personally LOVE wearing diffuser necklaces and occasionally wear diffusing bracelets. You can find my favorite beautiful diffusing jewelry at Drops of Joy. Or check out our guide to diffusing jewelry.

While using your oils to help open your throat chakra, take some time to meditate or focus on a few affirmations, such as:

My voice is clear and powerful, confidently speaking my truth.

It also helps to make the affirmation more personal by replacing “I” with your first name, or to speak it to yourself while making eye contact with your reflection.
